[That's what you get for posting right at sunset, Newendyke. Not long after there's a tawny sandy kind of orange wolf (no regrets) snuffling through town.]

[What's that smell? No it's not Eames. Eames has a particular brand of stink to him. This is someone else. Orange snaps his head up in the direction of the incoming silver brown stranger.]

[ The third at least serves to divert the uncertain tension between Orange and himself, ears perking forward. A little uncertain who he's smelling, he lets out another, shorter call. ]

[Stephen stops a good distance away, eying the other two up before approaching further. He lets another howl, then flattens his ears and slinks towards the nearest one, panting.]

[Looks like that might be Eames. Freddy stays his ground and watches the two, unsure of what to think but ready to snap into movement at a moment's notice. Watch the old dog's weaker leg, Stephen.]

[ Eames sniffs at the other wolf, nosing along his neck, then circling around him entirely. He can't be too sure but he smells friendly, at least, slightly familiar, and he lifts his head from sniffing at his front leg to lick at his ear instead, making the fur around it stand on edge. ]

[Stephen nuzzles back at the other wolf appreciatively, getting a few licks in around his nose. Now that the introductions are out of the way, he's more than ready to hunt. He lets out another excited howl before bounding around the other two, panting happily.]

[Headtilt. What. What's going on. They're making friends and he's not involved. Why aren't you involving meeeeee. Freddy takes a couple turns to keep the bounding Stephen in front of him, not at his flanks and definitely not behind him, then bam! He's on the other wolf to roll and tumble and hopefully wind up on top of Stephen to say hi. This is called playtime.]

[ Eames watches the both of them curiously, tail lashing back and forth in curiousity as he licks his chops. Keeping one eye on them, he keeps the other on their environment to make sure they don't get any nasty surprises while they're playing. ]

[Okay, so the tackle is a bit of a surprise... he lets out a few barks before growling and biting along the other wolf's neck and ears playfully, getting a few licks in between. He manages to roll them over a few times before he gets bored and goes back to running in circles... playtime is fun!]

[He mouths Stephen's nose a couple times too, no bite pressure, just rough housing. Rough housing which includes bumping Stephen again once they're upright and the other wolf is running, you know, to bump Stephen and make Stephen bump into Eames. Like dog dominoes. Totally grown up.]

[ Eames snaps a bit at Stephen when he's bumped into, tugging slightly at his ear before he shoves his head against his torso in response. Come on, kiddies, they're losing precious night time. ]

[Stephen whimpers a bit at being snapped at. He gives a few gentle bites to Eames' muzzle before he lets himself get pushed along. It's time for hunting. Hunting his good. He bounds ahead, giving Freddy a few nudges as he passes him.]

[Hey now, old dog, chill out a bit. Freddy gives Eames' rump a bump too just because, on the not so gimpy side. Whatever happened last night seems like it never happened at all or this is calling a truce, a truce to go take down a cow. Freddy rubs against Stephen as he passes by, he doesn't even need to know the guy's name to hang out and trot along.]

[ Following after them both, he catches up to the other side of Stephen, lapping at his muzzle once before he moves to take the lead of the pack, raising his nose to the air to catch any errant scents. Whether or not they'll be able to catch anything of worth is a dubious aspect to living in the City - maybe Xanadu might be worth checking out. ]

[Stephen is more than happy to let Eames take the lead. It leaves him more time to run in more circles and jump on more imaginary targets. The other two wolves get the occasional affectionate lick or nibble as he passed by them. As they get closer to the edge of town his ears start to twitch and he stop for a moment, sniffing the air. Something smells good...]

[What. Eames is taking the lead? Really? Well the old dog looks like he actually knows where he's going which is all Freddy needs to follow along. He's a fighter and a hunter and he's done the lone wolf thing, but Orange has always worked best with someone else giving the orders.

Hey now cool it with the licking, you're going to ruin his 'do. Not that Freddy protests, he even licks back--perk. What's that smell? Smells like DELICIOUS.]

[ Smells cheesy, which is also incredibly delicious. Eames picks up the pace with a short bark, trotting toward their destination of whatever source is emitting that smell - a food truck, seems like, on the City streets. ]

[Stephen giving the air a few more appreciative sniffs. Dang, that does smell good. He slinks forward slowly, inspecting the area before going and further. Doesn't look like any danger. He glances at the two behind him, panting happily. This is where we attack, right?]

[That's a lunch truck, bro. Freddy trots up to still next to Stephen but a half pace ahead of him. He's an urban wolf he knows what these battle tanks can do. Proceed with caution even though that smell is practically beckoning them to come in. One of the doors is open but it's all dark inside. Something's amiss, he can't put his nose on it, like garbage left to rot in the rain but the street is bone dry. There's something in that truck.]

[ Sensing the same, Eames' fur stands on end, and he lets out a few barks, trying to lure whatever might be in the truck out. For all of them to go in with such small quarters would be silly when they don't know what it is; better to see if they can piss it off enough for it to come to them. ]

[Unfortunately, Stephen!wolf has none of their hesitations and bounds towards the truck happily, poking his nose into the entrance... Smells good, you guys!]

[Stephen what are you even. This wolf almost looks like he's shaking his head but just as he's about to take a step forward to reel the other wolf back in, something inside goes thump thump.

Thump. Thump.

Thud.

The zombie cougar drops its fresh kill, a calf covered in grilled cheese. Who knows how this happened. Who cares. Zombie cougar is not pleased. Hisssssssss.]

[ Oh, shit. Eames lunges forward to grab Stephen by the tail and pull him back before he can become zombie pussy's next lunch. ]

[Stephen jumps at the bite on his tail, luckily jumping in the right direction and out of the way. His ears flatten and he growls. Hey, big tough cat. Guess who has a wolf pack, now?

He peers between the other two, hopefully. This means we get to kill it, right?]

[Oh yes because Freddy's pretty sure it's gonna try and kill them first. His lips pull back in a snarl, fur standing on end.

This zombie cougar don't give a shit. You know who made it a zombie cougar? A zombie honey badger. Once you've been through that you'll fight anything. Seeing as how Stephen was so gung-ho, the cat bounds straight for him.]
